Description
The Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) offers this grant to early learning programs participating in Early Achievers. It helps providers improve care and learning environments through curriculum development, instructional materials, supplies, focused infant-toddler items, equipment, and environmental improvements.
Allowable purchases include books, play and learning materials, developmental screening tools, health and safety items, supports for children with special needs, minor facility renovations, professional development and substitute time, and support for electronic attendance. DCYF reviews applications on a first-come, first-served basis and may prioritize programs serving non-school-age children receiving Working Connections Child Care subsidies and programs demonstrating cultural diversity.
