Description
The Early Career Interdisciplinary Scholars Fellowship (ECISF) Program, established by the Society for Research in Child Development’s Interdisciplinary Committee, connects early career researchers outside psychology and human development with developmental scientists. It supports scholars whose research relates to human development, pairing each fellow with a senior developmental scientist and enabling participation in the SRCD 2027 Biennial Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
The program aims to overcome disciplinary separation through two-way exchange of research, methods, and perspectives. Relevant fields include sociology, family studies, biology/neuroscience, education, pediatrics, psychiatry, social work, public health, economics, anthropology, computer science, engineering, and statistics. Through research presentations, mentoring, networking, and professional development, fellows gain exposure to developmental theory and findings while sharing approaches from their own disciplines.
