    Description

APA Division 15’s Early Career Research Grants support professionals and researchers in the early stages of their careers in educational psychology. The Division’s largest award funds direct costs of conducting and disseminating research, helping early-career scholars undertake valuable research activities in academic institutions, research and development organizations, and other research venues.

The program prioritizes scientific merit and potential impact, including theoretical grounding, important research questions, sound methods, and implications for educational psychology practice. The committee favors innovative, distinct projects over slight modifications of existing research or replication studies. It also emphasizes research that supports underrepresented voices, promotes equity and inclusion, and contributes to the rehumanization of educational psychology research. Individuals from underrepresented and marginalized groups, inside or outside the United States, and in research- or teaching-focused positions are encouraged to apply.
