    Description

The Early Childhood Initiatives of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) are designed to strengthen early childhood opportunities in Silicon Valley, focusing on equitable access, family choice, and high-quality care for young children, families, and caregivers. The program aims to address systemic disparities and support a child care system that is accessible, culturally affirming, affordable, and values a well-prepared, fairly compensated workforce. SVCF pursues these goals through grantmaking, research, collaboration, policy advocacy, and convening stakeholders. Funding is targeted at organizations serving communities most impacted by inequities, with a particular emphasis on San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
