Description
The Colorado Department of Education’s Early Literacy Assessment Tool (ELAT) project provides online reading assessments and resources for students in kindergarten through third grade. Established under the 2012 School Finance Act, this non-competitive project helps teachers meet the assessment requirements of the READ Act. Amplify supplies mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition and mCLASS Lectura, with assessment tools available in English and Spanish.
The platform provides individualized assessments with immediate results, stores and analyzes results, and recommends aligned activities for school and home. Teachers can track student performance, identify improvement strategies, and group students by assessment scores. The tools also provide short-cycle lesson plans, intervention materials, and support for individualized reading plans. Participants receive assessment licenses, kits, training, and support.
