The Early Literacy Assessment Tool (ELAT) project, administered by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), supplies participating local education providers (LEPs) with access to Amplify’s mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition and mCLASS Lectura assessments. These tools support real-time, individualized assessment of reading skills for students in kindergarten through third grade, helping educators comply with the Colorado READ Act. The platform analyzes assessment results, recommends targeted instructional activities, assists with student grouping, and generates intervention plans. Participation also includes training and implementation support at no cost, though applicants must provide their own compatible hardware.
