Description
The Early Literacy Assessment Tool (ELAT) Project, administered by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), offers Colorado local education providers (LEPs) free access to robust, online early literacy assessment platforms. The program is designed to help K-3 educators meet the assessment and intervention requirements of the Colorado READ Act. Participating schools receive software licenses for Amplify’s mCLASS DIBELS 8th Edition and mCLASS Lectura (English and Spanish), enabling real-time literacy skill evaluations, immediate feedback, individualized intervention plans, and actionable insights for both classroom and home activities. The project supports both new and renewal applicants, and participation is contingent upon annual application.
