Earthwatch funds rigorous field research that addresses global change and involves public participants in collecting data under scientific supervision. Its posted requests for pre-proposals cover biodiversity conservation, marine conservation, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK). Projects are expected to take measurable conservation action, engage local stakeholders, and help participants understand how their work connects to global priorities.
