This grant supports projects that significantly impact education, workforce, and economic development capacity in Oregon's Border Region—defined as areas within 20 miles of the Oregon-Idaho border, including Ontario, Nyssa, Vale, Willow Creek, Brogan, and adjacent communities. The grant is designed to foster innovative and creative solutions that drive prosperity, increase workforce skills and availability, improve competitiveness with Idaho, enhance the property tax base, and leverage additional funding. Projects must clearly demonstrate their potential to enhance economic vitality and opportunity within the Border Region.
