Description
EB Research Project Grants, administered by the EB Research Partnership (EBRP), support research initiatives that are positioned to deliver commercially viable therapies or products for the treatment or cure of Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The program prioritizes projects with a strong path toward commercialization within one to four years, especially those that can meaningfully improve the quality of life for EB patients or offer curative solutions. Eligible projects may include repurposing existing drugs, developing new therapies, or creating enabling tools and platforms to accelerate clinical trials, provided they demonstrate a credible commercialization plan and sustainability. The focus is on translational and applied research rather than basic science, employing a venture philanthropy model to maximize real-world impact.
