Key Information: Healthcare providers and practices are not eligible; standalone events and awareness campaigns are not the intended focus.
Description
ECASU Mini-Grants support community-based organizations engaging Delaware communities impacted by opioid and stimulant use disorders (OUD/STUD). Bowling Business Strategies (BBS) administers and distributes funding on behalf of the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH), using its SAMHSA State Opioid Response (SOR) grant. Projects must advance SOR and ECASU goals of improving the system of care for Delawareans with, or at risk for, OUD/STUD.
The program funds implementation-focused work that strengthens internal capacity, improves community systems or connections to services, and meaningfully engages communities. Examples include workforce training, referral partnerships, community needs assessments, community-informed quality improvement, and sustained outreach. Projects should integrate lived experience and community input into design, implementation, and evaluation. Events, education, and communications may support a broader project but should not be its primary purpose.
