Description
The Anthropic Economic Futures program is a multidisciplinary initiative supporting rigorous research, policy development, and data infrastructure to help society navigate the economic transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI). The program is designed to catalyze independent research on AI’s impact on labor, productivity, and economic trends, foster collaborative policy development, and expand longitudinal data resources (the Anthropic Economic Index) for the research community.
Anthropic offers two main avenues for participation:
- Economic Futures Research Awards: Competitive grants for empirical research projects investigating the economic implications of AI.
- Economic Futures Symposia: Calls for evidence-based policy proposals, with selected applicants invited to present at high-profile events in Washington, D.C. and London.
The program aims to build a robust ecosystem for understanding and guiding the societal and economic shifts associated with AI adoption.
