Description
The Economic History Society, in conjunction with the Institute of Historical Research (IHR), offers one-year postdoctoral fellowships in economic and/or social history, tenable at the Institute. The programme supports advanced research with a view to publication, particularly work of a kind that might appear in leading refereed academic journals in these fields.
Fellows contribute to the Institute’s academic community alongside pursuing their research. They are expected to attend appropriate seminars regularly, present papers—including at the Fellows’ Seminar—and provide information and help to scholars working in the same field. Fellows do not need to reside in London, but participation in the Institute’s activities is expected.
