Summary: Supports physicians undertaking mentored clinical training in European MS centres to develop expertise in patient management and care.
Key Information: Applicants must not have previously worked at the proposed host institution or under the proposed mentor.
The European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) offers this fellowship for neurologists and other physicians seeking to develop their careers as MS clinicians. Fellows learn patient-management and care techniques under a senior clinical mentor at a European clinic focused on MS or related diseases.
The programme is intended as a full-time clinical-care training experience. It can include hands-on patient care, care-related coursework, and clinical research supervised by the mentor. Cross-border exchange is central to the programme. When other evaluations are equal, preference is given to applicants from less-developed countries where MS is prevalent, enabling training in a European setting where MS is a focus.
