Description
The Biochemical Society’s EDI and Outreach Grants support innovative activities that strengthen inclusion and participation within the molecular bioscience community. The scheme seeks to enhance public understanding, remove barriers to participation, elevate underrepresented voices and create more accessible environments across education, research and public engagement.
Supported activities can include community science events, EDI training and toolkits, online resources, accessible teaching materials, mentoring and school workshops. Projects may develop new activities or expand existing engagement events, including collaborations with literature, art or music. The Society welcomes creative approaches that connect molecular bioscience with communities facing barriers related to gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, disability, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ identity, geography or other marginalised characteristics.
