Description
The fellowship offers one member of the American Philosophical Association (APA) each year the opportunity to serve as a visiting research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh. The award includes a private office, full borrowing rights at the University Library, and active participation in IASH’s vibrant research community for a period of two to six months. Fellows are expected to engage with the Institute’s interdisciplinary research strands, such as disability and chronic illness, decoloniality, digital scholarship, environmental humanities, gender and sexualities studies, and medical humanities. While there is no direct funding or stipend, the residency is designed to provide a rich academic environment, opportunities for collaboration, and immersion in the intellectual life of Edinburgh.
