Description
The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Foundation (SAEMF) supports trainees and faculty undertaking mentored education research and innovations that benefit emergency medicine learners. Projects may address faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, or undergraduate learners interested in emergency medicine. The award combines a research project with a training plan tailored to the applicant’s educational career development and may support faculty conducting multi-site educational research.
Projects should be novel, measurable, reproducible, usable by SAEM and emergency medicine educators, and suitable for dissemination to SAEM members. Training may include pursuit, preferably completion, of an advanced education-related degree, although this is not required. The program emphasizes rigorous research alongside investigator development, rather than didactic training alone.
