Description
The Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) Grants Management Unit seeks an agency to administer the federally funded Chafee Educational and Training Vouchers program. The program helps eligible youth and young adults who are in or have left foster care begin, continue, and complete postsecondary education or vocational training, supplementing DCFS Independent Living services.
The administering agency verifies eligibility, processes vouchers, and provides case management and postsecondary advising. It helps students plan their education, navigate financial aid, connect with resources, and maintain academic progress. Funding supports education-related costs such as tuition, books, housing, transportation, technology, and childcare. DCFS may fund one agency statewide or two agencies serving northern and southern Nevada separately.
