Description
This opportunity provides formula-based grants to eligible local units of government under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The program aims to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and improve the criminal justice system, including hiring personnel, purchasing equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and implementing information systems. Funding can be used for any of eleven authorized program areas, such as law enforcement, prosecution, crime prevention, and technology improvement, among others.
