Description
The Modern Language Association’s Edward Guiliano Global Undergraduate Fellowship supports students in languages, literatures, and related fields pursuing transformative experiences beyond their immediate communities. It funds research, critical-creative work, scholarly activities, conference and arts-event presentations, nonprofit learning opportunities, and academically grounded community engagement partnerships.
The fellowship emphasizes experiences that push personal, academic, or creative boundaries and cannot be replicated locally or without fellowship support. Projects should advance students’ professional development, research, or creative aims through intellectually meaningful and feasible work. Supported community partnerships may include volunteer work, internships, and collaborative research, while nonprofit opportunities may include courses and working groups appropriate to the student’s program of study.
