    Description

The Effective Altruism Infrastructure Fund, run by Effective Altruism Funds, supports work that could multiply the impact of projects using effective altruism principles. Rather than focusing on direct interventions, it funds intellectual infrastructure, events, information sharing, fundraising for effective charities, and research into priorities between or within cause areas. Its scope includes global wellbeing, animal welfare, longtermism, and cause-general work.

The fund also supports introducing people to effective altruism, developing and communicating its principles, recruiting talented people, and building a global community that uses these ideas in decisions about doing good. Community-health work—including healthy norms for interaction and discourse and assistance resolving grievances—is within scope. Historically, the fund has helped incubate and grow meta-charities, research organizations, and projects promoting effective altruism in settings such as academia.
