This European Commission opportunity supports innovation actions aimed at developing comprehensive, evidence-based responses to the increased availability and use of synthetic drugs and stimulants in Europe. Projects should strengthen the scientific foundation for prevention, treatment, and harm reduction, while equipping European security practitioners—including police authorities and civil society organizations—with the necessary skills, tools, and technologies to reduce violence, criminal offenses, and drug trafficking associated with these substances.

Proposals are expected to:

• Improve the evidence base for effective interventions.
• Analyze socio-economic and cultural drivers of drug-related violence.
• Advance technological solutions to combat trafficking across the supply chain.
• Assess the impact of geopolitical, legal, and societal factors on drug markets.
• Foster collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
• Engage with key EU agencies (Europol Innovation Lab, EU Drugs Agency) to validate outcomes and maximize impact.

Projects must address both technological and societal dimensions and include a mid-term deliverable assessed by involved security practitioners.
