Description
The Egypt Distinguished Scholar Award supports teaching, research, or combined teaching and research across all disciplines at Egyptian public or private universities and research institutions. Administered locally by the Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt, it supports research projects of the scholar’s choosing, undergraduate or graduate instruction, and contributions to faculty, curriculum, and program development.
The award advances academic and cultural exchange between Egypt and the United States, strengthening relationships and promoting mutual understanding and international cooperation. Scholars engage with students, faculty, and host communities through advising, mentoring, guest lectures, seminars, and workshops. They may also be asked to give public talks or participate in community activities alongside their primary academic work. One recipient is selected.
