The Egg Industry Center Research Grant Program encourages high-quality egg-related research at academic institutions in North America. Administered by the Egg Industry Center at Iowa State University, the program supports scientific work addressing current or emerging issues facing the egg industry. Projects are selected on scientific merit and relevance to those issues, with topics spanning bird health, animal welfare, egg quality and safety, environment, and avian influenza.
The program is funded through the Egg Industry Center Endowment Fund, which sustains research resources for the industry over the long term. Its goals include expanding the variety of scientific solutions available to egg enterprises and sharing research findings with people interested in learning about them.
