--- ## Description This opportunity recognizes and rewards outstanding writers who can clearly articulate the importance of writing in their academic, personal, or professional lives. The award encourages excellence in writing and aims to support individuals whose writing is integral to their aspirations and achievements. Applications are reviewed on a rolling monthly basis, and earlier submissions are given priority consideration. --- ## Due Dates - Rolling monthly deadlines (applications reviewed as received) - Next major review deadline: September 28, 2025 Applicants may submit at any time, but those who apply earlier in the cycle have a higher likelihood of selection due to rolling review. Applications remain under consideration for up to 3 months after submission. --- ## Funding Amount - $1,000 one-time scholarship award per recipient. - Award is paid directly to the recipient after verification of eligibility and submission of an official transcript. --- ## Eligibility - Open to all writers; no restrictions based on major, academic standing, or institution. - Applicants must be comfortable providing a video and/or written testimonial if selected. - No purchase or membership is required to apply. - Applicants must submit: - A short essay (up to 500 words) on the relevance of writing to their major, life, profession, or goals. - Current GPA and unofficial transcript (official transcript required prior to disbursement). --- ## Application Process 1. Submit a 500-word (max) essay on how writing is relevant to your academic, personal, or professional journey. 3. Provide your current GPA and upload an unofficial transcript. 4. Applications are scored using a rubric focused on relevance and writing quality. In the case of a tie, a random selection is used. 5.
