Description
Emergency Interim Support, offered by the Medical Research Foundation of Oregon (MRF), supports established investigators whose research programs face a damaging gap between national grants. It funds ongoing basic and applied research directly related to human health, helping investigators generate data for renewal applications and regain national support. MRF is administered through Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
The program considers both scientific merit and financial need. Proposals should explain how the work fits the investigator’s broader research program and long-range goals. Technology development or refinement receives lower priority unless the technology can answer basic questions and support further research. The emphasis is on preserving a research program rather than funding an isolated project.
