Description
The Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG), administered by New Hampshire’s Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HSEM), provides resources to state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency management agencies. It supports projects that advance the National Preparedness Goal: capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards posing the greatest risk.
New Hampshire’s identified priorities include emergency and continuity planning, primary emergency operations center equipment, backup power for primary emergency operations centers and shelters, school emergency notification systems, and backup power for water treatment facilities or critical communications systems. Proposals must explain how they strengthen emergency management capabilities, address relevant threats and hazards, and close capability gaps through technically feasible work completed within the grant’s performance period.
