The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) offers emergency relief to artists and culture bearers whose wellbeing or ability to work has been disrupted by personal or professional emergencies or natural disasters. Artists at any professional level and in any art form or discipline are welcome to apply. The fund provides assistance for immediate emergency needs rather than support for a particular creative project.
Covered emergencies include illness or injury, housing loss, urgent healthcare or legal needs, equipment or property loss, and transportation problems. Assistance also addresses loss of employment, cancelled contracts, lost income or food benefits, and other disruptive events. The program is supported by a coalition of Minnesota-based funders through the Artists Emergency Relief Fund Network, stewarded by Springboard for the Arts.
