Description
The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), administered by Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC), supports community-based work to address and prevent homelessness across Kansas. Funding helps engage individuals and families living on the street, improve the number and quality of emergency shelters, provide essential services to shelter residents, and support rapid rehousing. The program serves both people experiencing homelessness and Kansans at risk of losing housing.
ESG operates through a statewide network of service providers rather than through direct housing or service delivery by KHRC. Federal resources from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), together with local matching funds, support shelter, rehousing, and prevention activities delivered in Kansas communities.
