Description
The Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program, administered by the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA), provides federal funding to local governments and nonprofit organizations outside of ESG entitlement areas (excluding Memphis and Nashville-Davidson County). The program funds a spectrum of activities aimed at preventing and addressing homelessness, including street outreach, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, homelessness prevention, and data collection (HMIS). ESG aims to help individuals and families regain stability in permanent housing, reduce the time spent homeless, and prevent returns to homelessness.
