Description
The YVCF Nonprofit Needs Funding Program, managed by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation, is designed to assist nonprofit organizations serving Moffat and Routt Counties, Colorado, by connecting them with donors to address urgent, unplanned, or unexpected financial needs. The program supports both critical, time-sensitive needs that threaten an organization's ability to serve the community and general capacity needs that help expand or improve services. Funding is not guaranteed and is contingent on donor interest and alignment with the nonprofit’s mission and needs.
YVCF reviews and vets all funding requests, and, at its discretion, shares them with potential donors. This process enables nonprofits to address challenges such as loss of funding, unexpected expenses, or opportunities for service expansion that were not anticipated in the annual budget. The program does not fund recurring, "business as usual" expenses, capital campaigns, or individual client needs.
