--- ## Description The Emergent Needs Funding program from the Yampa Valley Community Foundation is designed to assist nonprofit organizations in Routt and Moffat Counties, Colorado, facing unplanned, unexpected, or unbudgeted financial needs that arise throughout the year. This program aims to bridge urgent funding gaps by connecting nonprofits with donors whose philanthropic interests align with the emergent needs described. Typical supported needs include operational shortfalls, unexpected service demands, or other urgent programmatic expenses that are not recurring or part of regular budgeting. --- ## Due Dates - Rolling: Applications are accepted year-round as emergent needs arise. --- ## Funding Amount - There is no set minimum or maximum award amount. - Funding is dependent on donor interest and the nature of the need submitted. - The program does not guarantee funding for any request. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be eligible to receive charitable funds (e.g., 501(c)(3) organizations, special government entities, or those with fiscal sponsorship). - The organization must serve Routt and/or Moffat County, Colorado. - The financial need must be unbudgeted, unplanned, unexpected, and time-limited (not recurring annually). - Capital campaigns and routine operational (“business as usual”) funding are not eligible. - Funding is not available for individual client needs. --- ## Application Process - Complete the online request form detailing the emergent need, its urgency, origin, and community benefit. - Applications are vetted by YVCF staff. - Vetted needs are shared with donors; funding is provided if a donor chooses to support the request. - There is no guarantee of funding, as it depends on donor interest. - Applicants will receive a confirmation email upon submission.
