Description
The AASLD Foundation’s Emerging Liver Scholars program gives medical residents opportunities to explore hepatology as a career through education, professional development, mentorship, and connections with leaders and peers worldwide. Its central activity is participation in The Liver Meeting®, where scholars receive access to scientific programming and exclusive educational and networking events.
The one-year travel and career-development program also includes virtual activities led by AASLD and Foundation leadership, ongoing mentor guidance, complimentary AASLD trainee membership, and digital journal subscriptions. The program seeks to inspire future hepatology leaders while promoting health equity, increasing patient access in medically underserved communities, and supporting greater diversity in the hepatology workforce.
