Description
The Emerging Researcher Award, offered by the CMT Research Foundation (CMTRF), is designed to empower promising young scientists and early-career investigators to address critical barriers in Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) drug development. The program funds small, high-impact research projects that generate preliminary data necessary for launching larger therapeutic initiatives. Two types of grants are available: Predoctoral Grants for current PhD/MD students and Pilot Grants for postdoctoral fellows and early-career investigators in academia or industry. The award strongly encourages innovative approaches, collaborative research, and projects that focus on target validation, model development, drug delivery, and proof-of-concept strategies to accelerate CMT therapeutic progress.
