Description
The Leverhulme Trust’s Emeritus Fellowships support senior researchers who have retired or partially retired from an academic post to complete a research project and prepare its results for publication. The scheme is intended to facilitate, integrate or complete the applicant’s own research output, rather than provide general support for a research group or assistants.
Funding provides practical resources needed to bring an individual project to completion, including essential research travel, consumables, photographic expenses and justified assistance. Applications are considered across subject areas, subject to exclusions concerning disease, illness, disability and clinical or medical applications. The Trust prioritises investigations of a fundamental nature rather than applied medical research, for which substantial funding is available elsewhere.
