The Emmy Noether Lectures honor women who have made fundamental and sustained contributions to the mathematical sciences. Established by the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) in 1980 and jointly sponsored with the American Mathematical Society (AMS) since 2015, the lectureship is presented annually at the Joint Mathematics Meetings each January.
