Description
The annual lectureship honors women who have made fundamental and sustained contributions to the mathematical sciences. Established in 1980 by the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM), the lecture recognizes outstanding achievements and serves to inspire the mathematics community. The award includes an invited one-hour expository lecture at the Joint Mathematics Meetings each January, a $1,000 honorarium, a certificate, and a feature in the AWM Newsletter.
