Description
The German Research Foundation’s Emmy Noether Programme enables exceptionally qualified early career researchers to satisfy the prerequisites for appointment as university professors through independent junior research group leadership and relevant teaching duties. It supports excellent research projects across all disciplines over six years, while also seeking to attract outstanding researchers to Germany, including those returning from abroad.
The programme targets postdoctoral researchers and junior professors with temporary contracts who are still at an early stage of their careers. Support combines group leadership with staff and project resources, alongside optional modules for clinical substitutes, international fellows, workshops, science communication, family allowances, and equity and diversity measures.
