Description
The Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia is a component fund of Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia (YCF). Guided by “Empowering Women Through Philanthropy,” it supports projects addressing the needs of women and girls in Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor Counties.
Projects must advance at least one of three goals: increasing women’s and girls’ life skills, encouraging the healthy development of girls, or promoting gender equity in the community. Life-skills work may address education, economic empowerment, physical and mental health, or prevention of violence and crime. The fund supports specific project work rather than routine organizational operations; staff time may be funded only when directly related to the supported project.
