Description
This grant program, administered by the Colorado Energy Office (CEO), provides financial support to Colorado local governments for the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of advanced building energy codes. The aim is to help municipalities meet or exceed state minimum standards—currently the 2021 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) and, after July 1, 2026, the Model Low Energy and Carbon Code. Funding can be used for technical consulting, staff support, community outreach, workforce training, compliance planning, enforcement improvements, and innovative enforcement strategies. The program is designed to accelerate local compliance with Colorado’s building decarbonization and energy efficiency goals.
