Description
Home Forward Grants from the Alabama Power Foundation support weatherization and energy-efficiency improvements for qualifying low-income homeowners in counties served by the ABC Trust. Funding covers work on existing residences, including insulation, air sealing, and HVAC improvements, to make heating and cooling more efficient and household energy costs more manageable.
Local Community Action Agencies solicit and screen applications from families and manage funding for the ABC Trust. The program focuses on improvements to a homeowner’s residence rather than new construction or broader community projects. The Trust’s service area covers 60 Alabama counties.
