Description
The Energy Innovation Grant Program is administered by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin’s Office of Energy Innovation (OEI). It supports adoption of innovative energy technologies and processes and expands access to clean energy, efficiency, and preparedness for Wisconsin communities otherwise unable to adopt them. The Commission determines eligible applicants and activities for each round based on energy priorities, emerging trends, and public input.
Round 6 uses American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding awarded through the U.S. Department of Energy’s State Energy Program. It supports applicant-owned renewable energy and storage installations, energy efficiency and demand response improvements, comprehensive energy planning, and microgrid feasibility studies. Planning support also includes investment-grade audits, geothermal planning, energy data projects, workforce training, education, and technical assistance.
