Description
The National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE) runs the Engaged Scholar Program with financial support from the NAKHE Foundation. It pairs tenured associate professors with established senior scholars for a joint research project, extending NAKHE’s mentoring and networking efforts into scholarly work.
The program aims to help associate professors continue their professional development and build work that supports advancement to professor at their own institutions. Dyads are expected to produce tangible scholarly work, such as presentations and publications, and share it through NAKHE conferences and publications or other outlets.
