Description
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) offers Convening Support through its Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award Program. It supports multi-party meetings and conferences that bring patients, families, caregivers and the broader healthcare community together around patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER). Convenings may develop research topics and engagement plans, share engagement methods, build partnerships or communicate eligible PCORI-funded findings to audiences positioned to use them.
Projects must unite participants around a shared health topic, population or geography and support collaboration beyond the gathering. Each convening must produce a useful deliverable, such as community-informed research priorities, a roadmap for future patient-centered CER or a dissemination strategy. The Engagement Award Program funds projects that support research engagement, not research studies.
