Description
The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) funds communication and engagement about the need for, feasibility, and benefits of specific restoration or acquisition opportunities. Engagement Grants support work with landowners, organizations, and communities that is necessary to protect or restore fish and wildlife habitat or natural watershed functions, improving water quality or stream flow.
Projects must focus on specific sites or support resource assessment and planning that identifies those sites. The program emphasizes engagement that leads to eligible restoration or acquisition projects within an identified geography, rather than general environmental awareness. Review considers the connection between engagement and conservation outcomes, the applicant’s capacity, and the likelihood of achieving the proposed engagement objectives.
