Description
Engaging Communities in Addressing Substance Use (ECASU) is offered by the Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH) through its Addiction Treatment Resource Center. Under Delaware’s State Opioid Response grant, ECASU brings together three opportunities to engage communities affected by opioid and stimulant use disorders: Community Awareness Partnerships, Grassroots Messaging and Awareness Campaigns, and Mini-Grants.
The opportunities support different kinds of work. Partnerships develop community communications campaigns with DSAMH assistance and in-kind materials. Grassroots campaigns provide education and awareness aimed at reducing stigma. Mini-Grants help community-based organizations strengthen referral pathways or develop their workforce’s ability to support local community members.
