Description
The English Access Scholarship, administered by the American Councils for International Education, offers talented youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Eastern and Southeastern Europe the opportunity to gain a strong foundation in English language skills. Through a combination of after-school classes and intensive sessions over a two-year period, the program equips participants aged 13 to 20 with the English proficiency necessary to expand their educational and career prospects. The initiative also prepares students to compete for future academic exchanges and study opportunities in the United States. Since 2004, the program has reached over 150,000 students in more than 80 countries, with current operations focused on Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
