The English Speaking Nation: Coaches Program (ESN:CP) is designed to enhance the pedagogical and classroom English skills of secondary school teachers in Uzbekistan. Through this initiative, highly qualified U.S. educators are placed in year-long positions in five regions of Uzbekistan. These coaches teach English as a Foreign Language (EFL), lead professional development activities, mentor in-service EFL teachers and teacher-leaders, and support broader English language education efforts. The program aims to foster sustainable improvements in English teaching by cultivating local teacher-leaders, promoting peer observation and feedback, and sharing U.S. culture and values.
