Description
The Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund Community Grant Program, administered by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), supports projects that protect, conserve, preserve or enhance Minnesota’s environment and natural resources. It aims to expand the number and diversity of organizations benefiting from trust fund support, especially communities adversely affected by pollution and environmental degradation.
The program covers five activity areas: adversely impacted communities, aquatic invasive species management, preservation or enhancement of natural resources, education and awareness, and maintenance or improvement of existing trails. A coherent project may combine activities or benefits across several areas. Applicants choose the pathway that best represents the project’s primary purpose so DNR can review it alongside projects addressing similar purposes.
