Description
The Harvard University Center for the Environment (HUCE) runs the Environmental Fellows Program to help recent doctorate recipients use and expand Harvard’s resources to address complex environmental issues. Fellows work for two years with faculty in any Harvard school or department, building connections across the University and a community with varied academic interests, skills, and backgrounds.
The program supports independent inquiry that extends beyond both the applicant’s doctoral work and the host’s ongoing research. Research may span the sciences, economics, law, government, public policy, public health, medicine, design, and the humanities. Interdisciplinary projects are encouraged, but single-discipline research is also welcome. Faculty mentorship and biweekly dinners with Harvard faculty and speakers help fellows learn about one another’s work.
