Description
The Environmental Grants program, managed by the Soil and Water Conservation Commission in partnership with the Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet, provides funding to Kentucky conservation districts for projects aimed at reducing agricultural non-point source pollution. The grants are designed to support activities that educate the public about pollution, demonstrate effective pollution-reduction alternatives, and encourage the adoption of new management practices. Typical projects include fallen animal disposal, illegal dump clean-up, metal recycling, stream bank stabilization, tree planting, on-site sewage programs, and watershed monitoring.
