Description
The Environmental Justice Grant Programs, administered by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Office of Environmental Justice, provide competitive funding to empower community-based and Tribal organizations across New York State. The grants support projects that address environmental issues, harms, and health hazards, with an emphasis on building local consensus, setting priorities, public outreach, education, and fostering equity in communities most affected by environmental burdens. Projects must include a research component to expand community knowledge and contribute to solutions.
