Description
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Forestry, lists conservation assistance for landowners and agricultural producers through its Forestry BMP Cost-Share Program page. Participating programs support forest establishment and restoration, wildlife habitat, invasive plant control, wetland restoration, erosion reduction, and protection of soil and water resources. Assistance includes technical support, financial assistance, cost-sharing, and rental payments, depending on the program.
DNR also offers cost-share assistance for installing forestry best management practices (BMPs) on logging harvest sites in Indiana. This assistance helps defray installation expenses.
