Description
The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is administered by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) helps connect Tennessee landowners with conservation assistance. NRCS works one-on-one with producers to develop conservation plans and choose practices for working farms, ranches, and forests. These practices can improve soil, water and air quality; reduce erosion and sedimentation; conserve water; and create or improve wildlife habitat.
Within EQIP, Working Lands for Wildlife opportunities connect conservation work to habitat needs for northern bobwhite, hellbender and golden-winged warbler. TWRA and conservation partners also offer wildlife habitat advice and management planning.
